Baby Naming Ceremonies

What a joy to officiate at the Naming Ceremony of a precious little one!
A Baby Naming Ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome a new addition to your family or officially name each individual child on their special Naming Day.
As your family and friends gather they can show their love and support to you and it is a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge the significant contribution that Grandparents make in the life of their grandchildren. You can also appoint the Godparents/Mentors who will stand beside you throughout the years guiding your little one and providing love and care in their unique roles.
As I officiate I will share your chosen name and it's meaning together with your dreams for your little one's future. I can supply readings and wording to make the Ceremony uniquely your own. At the conclusion of the ceremony I can supply a Naming Certificate for your baby, A Grandparent's Certificate for Grandparents and a Godparent's or Mentor's Certificate for the people you have chosen for this role. A copy of the ceremony is presented to baby's parents to complete the day.
Significant inclusions might be:
- Releasing balloons to represent your hopes and dreams for your baby's future
- A treasure box filled with tokens from your friends representing their loving thoughts eg: a heart shape could represent a life filled with love.
- A candle is lit. It represents the child's life and can be re-lit each birthday.
- A guest book records your family and friend's good wishes. A photo of each person could be inserted next to their remarks.
Your Naming Ceremony doesn't need to be expensive. It can be as simple as a backyard BBQ or a ‘bring a plate' luncheon. It can be indoors or outdoors. Held in your home, backyard or local park. Whichever way you choose it should be a significant day when your little one is officially welcomed into your family and community.
